The Annecy Christmas market 2026, known as Noël des Alpes, runs from Thursday 26 November 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027. The town council announces nearly 200 chalets between the lakeside quays and the old town. A natural ice rink is set up in the Jardins de l’Europe. Entry is free. Here are the dates, opening times and tips for your visit.
When is the Annecy Christmas market in 2026?
Noël des Alpes runs from 26 November 2026 to 3 January 2027. These dates are published by the Annecy town council in an article updated on 26 October.
Be careful with older listings. Some pages still mention an opening on 29 November and 135 chalets. These figures do not match the council’s official calendar.
The full programme of events will be released in the coming weeks, says the town. We will update this article when it is published.

What are the opening times?
Opening times differ between the two parts of the market. Here are those published by the council.
In the town centre
- Sunday to Thursday: 11am to 9pm.
- Friday and Saturday: 11am to 9.30pm.
- 24 and 31 December: 11am to 7pm.
- 25 December and 1 January: 11am to 9.30pm.
In the Jardins de l’Europe
- Sunday to Wednesday: 11am to 9pm.
- Thursday to Saturday: 11am to 10pm.
- 24 and 31 December: 11am to 8pm.
- 25 December and 1 January: 11am to 10pm.
However, a website for stallholders gives a 3pm opening on 25 December and 1 January. For those two days, check with the council before you travel.
Where is the Annecy Christmas market?
The chalets are spread across several spots in the centre: Quai de Vicenza, Place Saint-Maurice, Place de l’Ancienne Grenette, Rue du Collège-Chappuisien and Rue Joseph-Blanc. Quai Napoléon-III also hosts stalls.
There is also a festive area in the Jardins de l’Europe, on the lakeshore. It has around fifteen chalets and DJ evenings, according to the council.

Ice rink, lights and Father Christmas: what to do
The ice rink is the star attraction. It offers 460 square metres of natural ice, with 30-minute slots. You can book online or on site. Prices have not yet been published, but the rink is not free.
The old town is lit up every day from 5pm to 11.45pm, including the Conservatoire, the clock tower and the church of Notre-Dame-de-Liesse. Father Christmas also has a house in the heart of the market.
How much does a visit cost?
Entry to the market is free, the council’s Noël des Alpes page confirms. The ice rink, fairground rides and some shows are paid for.
Getting there and parking
The market is a few minutes’ walk from the railway station. The council therefore recommends walking and public transport, especially at weekends.
If you drive, town-centre car parks fill up quickly in December. Remember winter equipment too: under the French Mountain Law, many towns in Haute-Savoie (a French département, or county) can require winter tyres or snow chains from 1 November to 31 March.
